Carly McRae Sessions (she/her/ella) believes deeply in the dignity of every person. She feels privileged every time a client shares their story with her, and she is committed to walking the path to justice with her clients.
Prior to law school, Carly worked as a public-school teacher, and the persistence of her undocumented students inspired her to pursue a career in immigration law. She graduated from The George Washington School of Law in Washington D.C. where she gained valuable hands-on experience through several internships and as a student associate at the GW Law immigration clinic. Prior to joining Green Evan-Schroeder, she spent nearly 9 years at Kids In Need of Defense (KIND) where she represented unaccompanied immigrant children and developed an expertise in trauma-informed lawyering and humanitarian-based immigration benefits such as Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), asylum, U visas, and T visas.
Carly zealously represents all clients. Whether she is assisting someone who is detained or facing removal (deportation), or someone seeking immigration benefits at USCIS or a U.S. consulate abroad, Carly’s advocacy is defined by her thoroughness, integrity, and tenacity.
