Consultation Policy

(520) 882-8852

Immigration cases are complex for a variety of reasons.  First, the law is complicated.  But even more complicated are the lives of immigrants who have often lived in the United States for many years.  Our clients have rich histories, caring families, and important stories.  Sometimes, our clients have previously been involved with the U.S. immigration system.  Other times, our clients have suffered hardships, including immigration and criminal penalties that have subjected them to incarceration and deportation.  Everyone's story is unique, and there is no such thing as a simple immigration case.

The consultation is a one-time commitment for a flat fee, for up to one hour of time with a lawyer.  The reason we charge fees for consultations is because it takes a considerable amount of time to get all of the important information that we need to properly evaluate your case.

A good immigration lawyer cannot give you the proper advice without really getting to know your story.  During the consultation, an experienced lawyer will discuss all aspects of your case, identify the best strategies for achieving your goals, estimate the chances of success, and explain the relevant timeline, fees, and process that apply to your particular kind of case.

Currently, consultations may be over the telephone, or by video conference.  We also offer consultations to those who are detained and in removal proceedings in Eloy and Florence, Arizona.  Payment for the consultation fee must be made before the consultation is scheduled.  No refunds will be made once the consultation begins, although we will honor a refund request made more than 24 hours before your appointment.  If you need to reschedule your consultation, you must do so more than 24 hours before your appointment, and you must reschedule within 30 days.

Please understand that by scheduling a consultation, there is no guarantee that Green | Evans-Schroeder will accept your case.  The consultation fee is not refundable if we do not take your case because there are many cases that we simply cannot accept for ethical or other reasons.  When you schedule a consultation with us, you can be assured that you will leave with honest and accurate answers to all of your questions—regardless of whether you hire us.

If you would like to schedule a consultation, please call us at (520) 882-8852, or email us.  We hope to have the opportunity to discuss your case with you soon.
