Greg Fay (he/him/el) holds a B.A. in Linguistic Anthropology and East Asian Studies from Brown University, and his J.D. from Arizona State University. He was a Fulbright Fellow in China and began his career as an international human rights advocate. Seeing the bravery of human rights defenders and attorneys who defended them, Greg pursued a law degree to serve immigrants going through their legal process after navigating difficult journeys in pursuit of safety and security in the United States.
Greg began as an immigration attorney at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project (FIRRP). He was FIRRP’s Equality Arizona LGBT fellow during law school, then staff attorney, pro bono mentor and finally a managing attorney. His work representing individuals found incompetent and appointed counsel taught him compassion and care for each individual’s client’s needs.
Greg is in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) as the Chair of the Asylum and Refugee Committee, which coordinates AILA’s asylum advocacy on a national level. He is the Vice Chair of the Arizona AILA chapter. Greg also serves on the board of the Phoenix Leal Action Network (PLAN).
