Mika Galilee-Belfer (she/her/ella) brings to her legal practice a life-long commitment to social justice and human rights. She understands how frightening it can be for people going through immigration processes, and prioritizes trauma-informed practices when working with clients and their families. She is particularly passionate about justice and representation for LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) immigrants, as well as for all people who fear harm based on their gender or identity. Her advocacy for clients is marked by persistence, courage, and creativity.
Mika is a May 2020 graduate of the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she earned the top spot in the Richard Grand Legal Writing Competition two years in a row, as well as awards from the Law College Association and the Arizona Law Review.
In addition to her law degree, Mika has a PhD in Educational Policy and Practice from the University of Arizona, where she worked in leadership positions focused on strategic planning and supporting students and faculty.
